OPE 6th Grade Promotion! June 5th

AA wore a new dress that was very nice, a bit "grown-up". So many sweet memories as the video, photos, speeches, awards made it feel like a High School Graduation. These kids have been together since kindergarten and some in the same VPK Wonder Works (OPUMC) classes.
Mrs. Jana Kinder wrote this on Facebook: ......transition is Owen’s move from elementary to the junior high program (that his sister Gillian is leaving). Orange Park Elementary has been so good to my very bright and exceedingly quirky child. The teachers have helped him develop both academically and personally while allowing for his unique personality. Just as important, over the years he has found his tribe- “the squad” of kids who accept and encourage each other even when they bicker. I am saddened that they are not all going to be together in the next few years, but we will do our best to make sure that they are able to maintain that special bond. Many thanks and much love to the parents and teachers who have been our village.
So much joy seeing AA succeed and now be promoting to the advanced placement program at OPJH.

This all means, is about the special friends and parents we have met during the seven OPE years. How will we keep these kids in touch; will probably get lost in the new Junior High activities, they are going to four or five different schools. We will try!
