First Coast Women's Amatuer Tournament at Eagle Harbor

Ms. Penny is the organizer of the First Coast Women's Amatuer Golf Tournament and in the past there was an age limit of 13 years old. With other large Florida Amatuer tournaments lowering it, this one was opened to two 12 year olds (K . Huber).
AA was excited and nervous about playing with so many of her golf partners who are now in college.
She started round one playing bogey golf which was expected from the green tees. She was playing well and made a few "par's" too. She made it over the marsh on Hole 15 from the green tee, so happy for her. Round Two was the opposite on the same Hole 15 plus on another hole, she hit one out of bounds then in the water, so took an 8. Ended with an 88 - 92.
After the tournament, AA said there was two things, one she was nervous about playing with the "women" and also that riding in a cart the whole time did not allow her to have her usual tournament routine/rhythm.
I helped for a couple of hours at the registration table with Polly (age 91 and still plays golf twice a week, began playing golf at age 42 and was good enough to play in the Women's Amateur Tournament!).

AA putting/practicing:
Round two with K. Richards, last hole for them was the par three Hole 13.
Scoring table round one (round two, they were in pairs, ut three-some):
Tori saying her thank you's - especially to her Dad:
Tori, the winner!

The end! Ms. Penny and Tori walking back to the club house after the final photos were taken.
What a job Penny did - from securing the golf course, negotiating rates, working with Marshall on the tee times, pairings, golf cart signs; the awards, trophies, planning the luncheon, food and program, sponsors with signs and banners, sponsor bags for each player, on the course managing the play and the volunteers for scoring and time management; people to do the coolers, water and ice, the starters, etc. She was the MC for the awards ceremony and spoke so well. So much to admire. I am sure she did much more!
