Eagle Harbor PGA Junior Coach Bryan is hosting a four part DCP combine to help kids get ready for the local contest. AA won't be able to make them all,but could go to the first one on driving. Tyler Mawhinny was there, just back from the Master's DCP finalist contest where he tied for second place!
AA won the driving contest which was set up for accuracy, three drives worth 5 points each - she made all 15 points!
From Facebook: Yesterday, Eagle Harbor hosted the first of four Drive, Chip, Putt
workshops {the "Combine"} and AA won the Drive competition! Based on
accuracy and distance - as she was the most accurate, not the furthest
(I wasn't there so may not have all the facts). It is important to keep
your drives in bounds during the official DCP contests, otherwise the
drive doesn't count. She won a Masters Driver head cover - the best
prize!! PLUS longest driver Justin James was there to demonstrate his
championship driving skills! Thank you to Coach Bryan and EH.
Due to NFJG tournaments, she will only make the first and last session.
After the workshop, Ford took AA out to play nine holes and they enjoyed meeting Alissa and her husband. She played on the Fleming Island High School golf team at one time.
By Ford's scoring, AA out scored them both. Good going AA! She keeps getting better!
