Ford was a Daddy-Caddie for his birthday weekend at a two-day tournament (Amelia National). AA did well on the first day with the Foundation Boys, a 48 to be in the lead. On day 2, she scored two strokes higher, but kept the lead for a first place finish. Good job!! She has a nasty cough but it didn't slow her down (cough is from her allergies, her lungs are clear).
We waited and celebrated Ford's birthday on Sunday evening, after the tournament was over. Carolyn drove over after work, and we enjoyed wine, bruschetta and shrimp scampi (with capers) - and in that order! A great weekend!

From Director Jack's Newsletter: If you played in “The National Challenge” this past weekend at Amelia National Golf and Country Club
then you found out what a beautiful venue the National is. Eighteen
Championship holes designed by renowned course designer Tom Fazio which
required and demands constant attention on any given normal weather day.
Throw in some strong steady winds, with gusts to 25 miles per hour, a
chill in the air and you’re in for a long day if you’re not prepared and
don’t have a knockdown game. At Amelia the wind seems to come at you
from all directions, swirling at will, but what a great test for our
talented junior players.
Our Foundation Division
would once again find the Boys and the Girls battling it out for the
right to become Champion and this week day one would find Alyzabeth
Morgan atop the leaderboard by six strokes over Anderson Palm and Cole
Taylor.
At the
start of round two Morgan would continue to dominate with her steady
play, but Anderson was pushing the envelope to catch the leader, but in
the end would come up a few short. In this winner take all battle ground
Morgan would take home the lone trophy with bragging rights for the
runner up spot going to Anderson.
