AA loves reading, especially "clan" animal stories. Erin Hunter has several series and a new book came out so AA and her Daddy went to buy it. She has read most of them through the school library and our county library, but she has read them all so for her straight A report card, she bought the newest in hardback. She read it in ONE DAY! (and she took a comprehension test at school on it and scored a 100%).

The film version of Hoot came out in 2006. It was directed by Wil Shriner, and produced by Jimmy Buffett and Frank Marshall. Buffett plays a teacher in the movie, while the author himself makes a forgettable cameo.
