Our earlier post described AA's practise round at No. Hampton (Fernandina) and she did well staying away from the hazards. We have been told many times how tough a course it is. Well, she landed in a couple of bunkers and her short game was a bit below average which made for a not great round. She finished 3rd, which is to be expected with the two older girls playing, but had she played her average to better game, she could have been 2nd (too many putts, two landed on the edge of the cup, a short chip and...... if you play golf you get the idea!).
The weather was windy (15 mph winds) and cloudy; much better forecast than the past four days - dreary, damp with scattered rain and WIND! The sun came out for a while and actually made the 60's feel like the 60's! On the driving range:
