NFJG Tournament - Slammer and Squire - Back Nine (10 - 18)

Hubby Ford didn't say too much about his "bum" ankle so let's just say he couldn't walk for a couple of days so we called Coach Kathy for emergency caddie services! I was prepared to step in as caddie, but seriously, all I would do is clean her clubs and say "now which one do you want?"!! Having Kathy fill-in worked great; she knows AA really well and you can jump back into our history to see how it all started meeting Kathy.
This is a walking course, no riding in a golf cart for the player and caddie. Began on Hole 10, and AA did well, playing a steady game. The course was over seeded, so a bit "wooly"! and it had poured rain an hour before her playing. With the rain comes the fact that AA's balls will not have a long roll, so the older girls keep their advantage with their longer drives. AA placed third behind Kaitlyn and Kylie. Conferring on the next club to select:
Last hole (18); it is a long game for AA at 2500+ yards.
The World Golf Village; beautiful facility, the course looked great.
Awards:
AA had a wonderful round with two putts that just hung on the cup lip and one "chuck" shot. Her only barrier to making the low scores is the length of her drive and second shot (on Par 4's and Par 5's). She is steady and never missed a fairway and had no penalties. These are the same three girls who all tied last Sunday (AA is the youngest):
And to show you a photo of last year's tournament with Kylie in it (Tori M. too):
Foundation Boys was won by Phillip again; he's amazing!
Kathy had lunch with us and then we chatted about her new Rain Girl designs, plus her modification to the hat. She added an elastic loop in the back for a pony tail. The hat is secured better and is an improvement. The expected rain held off, with only a few sprinkles on the last hole. Caddie and player:
Here's where you can buy the rain girl gear - for all ladies and little ladies! (www.raingirlinc.com). New hat design:
Happy smiles! So glad Kathy was available!
From Jack's Post-Tournament Newsletter:
Foundation Girls: Check it out! Kaitlyn Schroeder is once again back in the Champions circle as has she shot a very respectable 42 with four pars in her final five holes of play. This was Kaitlyn’s third win of the season. Kylie Turner finished just one back and had a chance for the gold, but a double bogey on the difficult 17th would turn out to be the difference. Turner had the only birdie on the day with a birdie - two on the par - 3 13th. Alyzabeth Morgan with her smooth and almost perfect swing would end up in the third spot this week with a 50 on her round.
