On any given day, you never know how well you will golf. Many factors from weather, attitude, physical well-being, etc... and that it is a difficult sport; it's all up to you. I read somewhere about playing well is about as easy as catching lightning in a bottle!
AA did her usual drives, and excellent putts which was enough to place first place in the local Drive, Chip, Putt contest.
Practice drives:
She made two of the three putts so scored very high. Overall 1st place in putting and 1st place overall. Proud of her third place for her drives!
Next is the sub-regionals in about one month, same place - WGV.
The layout for the chipping and putting portion of the contest:
Here's some information on the contest:
World Golf Village to host Drive, Chip and Putt local qualifier:
An estimated 200 junior golfers will participate in the Drive, Chip and Putt local qualifier at the World Golf Village on Saturday. The competition will ask golfers to hit three drives into a long drive style driving grid, then hit three chip shots into giant painted rings around the hole and then hit three putts into painted rings all for points. The Top Three Overall point earners will advance to the Sub-Regional Qualifier (also at World Golf Village on August 29th) and one step closer to Augusta National. The Regional Qualifier will be in your area as well at TPC Sawgrass on Sept. 12th. The Regional Qualifier is the last step on the quest to Augusta. Regional Qualifier Champions will be headed to The Masters!
