07/30/14 - We had another day of practice at Midland and stopped by the Pinehurst Club House for some fun. There were several competitions that involved longest drive, putt accuracy and chipping tic tac toe. And golfers received a free Stone Cold Creamery Ice Cream with plenty of toppings; made AA happy!
Practice nine holes at Midland CC:
We met up with the Bryant family and will see them in our age division during the tournament.
I did a little shopping and exploring while the daughter and caddie Daddy golfed, then we had an early dinner at Olive Garden (a very new one, and conveniently next door to our hotel).
With the second earliest tee time, it was an early, quiet evening for us!
We picked one of our ripe yellow bell peppers from home; and yes, we cut it up and added to our Olive Garden salad (secretly!):
Hotel pool is adequate; the water was perfect!
07/31/14 - Midland Golf Club, first tee at 7:40 a.m. AA's playing partners for round 1 (Mexico and New York).
