Visiting the Florida United Methodist Children's Home (FUMCH) is always a joy. Not to see children who are in need of physical, mental and spiritual help. To see them thrive and improve by the love and care of the house parents and therapists. By seeing all the United Methodist churches volunteer and donate goods. To see the Christmas presents overflow in the front room of Hardin Hall. To see the dedication of the CEO as he prepares his staff for more challenges that lay ahead.
As I drove on the campus last week, the new street lights and Christmas banners really helped focus on the mission...... to empower children and families to experience God's love and care as revealed in the ministry of Jesus Christ.
This is our Home, our Children and this is our "Backyard" Mission. You want to make a difference in children's lives, a new beginning for them? Look no further than you own backyard. Find a local children's home. These children need your help. The fifth Sunday is approaching, write a check now to FUMCH. Don't forget our children.

It is never too late to begin.......
Merry Christmas!
