Local Riverside Arts Market

Every Saturday, there is an Arts and Farmers Market. We went for the first time a few weeks ago and then a second time to do some Christmas shopping. So many vendors and it changes each Saturday. We bought the freshest vegetables, right out of the garden. Their motto "Buy Locally"! We did!

These are pictures from our second visit. Scroll down below to see what it is all about from our first visit!
Locals entertaining, located on each "corner":
This painter did a painting in less than 10 minutes, upside down:

This is a dog lover's show! Everyone had dogs of all sizes on leashes or carrying one. Here's one of the cuter characters!
Lots of entertainment within the booths and at the little river front stage:

AA having fun running around Aunt Carolyn and Mommy!

These are photos from our first visit to the Market:
AA is carrying the vendor booth layout map. She loves "reading" maps so have explained to her how to read one and point out important items - like the Ladies bathroom!

The Market is organized under a highway overpass. It is amazingly quiet and always sheltered from the weather: hot summer sun and rain:

Lots of entertainment:

Looking towards the St. Johns River:

Sorry about a picture of my butt, thought I looked so geeky since I don't like to carry a purse, stuff hanging out of my back pockets! I need a new style purse, maybe one of those that looks like a mini backpack so my hands can still be free?

Found a great bakery and the daughter of the Owner works at our local Publix 30 miles away and recognized us (well, she recognized AA!).

This says it all - Free Cookie and AA trying to get Daddy's attention!

Have to try the cookies! They were Oatmeal Snaps and delicious. Here's the local bakery, Simply Sara's.

Hope you can check out this Market!

Looks like a great time, though the painting is a little creepy to me. Did you buy AA's cute pants from Sue Ankerich?

Still very jealous of your weather! We have a bit of snow and it's pretty cold!

Looks like a lovely day out!

I had to laugh about the jeans/no purse. I bought some cargo pants and when JMei was still in diapers, I'd stuff them with diapers, wipes, doggie bags, snacks, Pediasure & other essentials to prevent the need for a diaper bag. My wife saw me coming and nicknamed me "Lumpy".
