We read books to AA almost every day. A tradition began with me going in to AA's room when she first wakes up, taking her to the "potty", then climbing back in bed to read a book. I think it began when AA always wanted her Daddy to greet her in the mornings, so Mommy felt left out :)
I now climb in bed and read one or two books before starting our day. She loves it and we now do not hear her telling me she "only wants Daddy"!
So this past weekend, DH peaked around the corner and took these pictures. Not very flattering of me.... but captures this special time we have together on my off days.

I think this is the perfect way to start the day and a wonderful way to encourage reading.
Happy Holidays to you and your family~

We read a lot of books to our 2 littles. How great is that to start the day with a book!
Love AA's smile!
What a perfect way to start the day! You both look content to stay in bed all day and just enjoy a big pile of books!
What a great way to start your day. And AA's too. So, is Daddy in the kitchen putting on the coffee during book time? Hope so!
These are the moments we treasure. Better than our wildest dreams!! It's the everyday things that really add up to make you the special family that you are. I'm so glad you guys captured this on film. AA will cherish this when she's older.
Love it!! Such a sweet time together :-)

Ah..what sweet moments captured!!
A great way to start the day! Reading aloud is so important, you've got it all right. I love the Read Aloud Handbook by Jim Trelease for some great backup on why it's important, and other great book lists!
Such a sweet moment to capture. My girls love story time. Whenever it occurs. Even though my oldest can read by herself now.
