As the river water warms, the manatees swim north from central Florida. We always have several families stop by our dock, eating water plants. This time it was a "Mommy, Daddy and Baby (calf)". We didn't jump in the river to swim with them, but could have.....

One last picture of two buoys that were given to us by a friend; not the typical crab trap buoys (which are round, made of Styrofoam) that frequently land on our river shoreline; they are tied to a wooden gate my Dad made back in the late 90's:

ohhh.. we love to go watch manatees at Blue Spring park. Boating at St. John reviver watching them passing by also amazing. Hope you have a great week.
That is a very cool thing! Unfortunately, we live in town, and the best wildlife we have is the feathered variety. Love the pictures!
very neat! you got some great pictures, no water activities for us yet, still a little cool in the NW.
Wow-that's pretty amazing stuff. AA must just love to see them :-)
Great shots...I didn't realize you can swim with them. don't know if I'd have the guts though!
