Almost as Good As.....

We saved a cupcake from Halloween Day's festivities for AA to enjoy the next day...... we are only giving her one sweet a day from Halloween (per orders from my mother, Nana of the North!!). I was going to pitch all the candy as AA has not had but a very few sweets since entering our home a year ago. I made sure every calorie she ate was healthy, mostly organic and nutritious to help her little body grow. She is doing great, and my Mom thought I was going a bit over board taking it all away. So thanks to Grandmother's advice, AA is enjoying a few more sweets.

I watched AA eat every bite of the chocolate cupcake with green frosting.... it was almost as good as what I could imagine she would have been like at her first birthday (if she was with us) and taking pictures of a little one enjoying their first birthday cake (you know the mess).
We were in China when she turned two, but due to her "personality" at the time, she was very wary of us and didn't enjoy her birthday cake back then. Fast forward to last month for her third birthday and she ate her cake with a fork. No mess for AA.
Somehow, knowing she had this cupcake waiting for her, and we did drum up alot of excitement before giving it to her, she ate messier than we have seen her in a long time! I did have to tell her several times that we would wash her hands and face after she was done... she doesn't care for the messy fingers.... but it was so much fun.
I think she really enjoyed the treat! I certainly did!

Sharing with Daddy, happy to have him enjoy with her.......

Sweet pictures. We try to limit Little T's sweets but we aren't very successful! Daddy picks her up from daycare at noon everyday and always has a piece of candy for her. If he doesn't they stop at the corner store. He did the same thing for the boys when they were little. Its a daddy thing!

Hugs,
Carla

Adorable! She looks like she's enjoying every bite... and how sweet she'd share with her daddy, even though sweets are a rare treat :)

How sweet! Am I the bad guy here or the good guy? I'll let you in on a little secret. You and your siblings thought having a cookie once in awhile was a treat. Of course, I never told you that what you actually got was a cracker! Keep up the nutritious habits, as long as I can share an ice cream cone with her once in awhile. I love you guys.

Just love her sweet smile!
I have always fed my son organic or as best as I can since he was born, but every once in a while a special treat is necessary and well deserved!
