While I was baking her birthday cake, we had to sample the homemade cocoa frosting!
Until AA tells me otherwise, we are using Nana Joy's sheet cake recipe for birthday cakes. It is so yummy!

What a little cutiepie! So...question? Are you concocting or rather re-creating the cake we had for AA's 2nd birthday in CHINA? Not sure any of us could since they go to such lengths to make them so beautiful.

Ahh... an important rite of passage! And the Tongginator celebrated a birthday with us in China, too. She turned one three days after we adopted her. Hope your day is SUPER special, AA! (And goodness me, someone in our house has been watching a little too much Kai-Lan if I actually typed what I think I just typed.)
