Dad?
Yes, Alyzabeth.
I'm never going to know my China birth mom and dad, am I?
Probably not baby girl.
But it could happen, right?
Yes it could.
Dad? Is it OK to wish it could happen?
It's more than OK.
I get sad sometimes. Sometimes, mad...
That's OK too.
Do you think they think about me?
I'm sure they do.
I wonder what they think about?
Well, I bet they wonder how beautiful you've grown. How smart you are. Most of all, I think they hope you are very, very happy.
I going to tell them in my prayers tonight how happy I am.
Tell them for me and mom too.
I'm never leaving you and Mom.
And we're never leaving you sweetie.
Night-Night daddy.
Sweet dreams baby girl. Don't forget your prayers...
The continuing imaginary conversations of a father with his daughter...

ohhh.. This makes my heart warm. What a mature little girl. My older one, who is five years old, doesn't get the idea of adoption and no matter how I talk to her. It is great AA can have this level of understand.
Ford,
These are great. I love reading them. One day in the near future these talks will happen. Time is flying by, 3 years old already. It's hard to believe. Take care.
Brian
Oh my gosh when did she grow up so much????? She is precious and so , so , smart!!! God love her.
Love and blessings, Kristy
Must I say it again and again.....this is BOOK material, Ford!
The conversations with AA both before and after her arrival melt me to a puddle on the floor!
Those conversations will become a reality. Kerri is saying these things now, and more.
Missed these Ford!
Hugs,
Carla
Last week, my 5 year old, asked, "Whose tummy did I grow in?" and then,"I should have a Chinese family, with a Mom with black hair". We've been having these conversations since she was 3 and they get a little deeper as the days go by. She does not have these conversations with my husband, only me.
