Happy Referral Day!!

So many families are jumping with joy and screaming to friends and family about their new son or daughter! Referrals are here for early March 2006!!

I will make time this week to visit and congratulate all the new Moms.... but there is one I want to do RIGHT Now.........
We are so excited for one of our original Precious Pandas (DTC Jan/Feb 2006) who received her referral in this recent batch. She's Deb from Maine and was widowed last year just as she (they) were about to receive their referral.
Please congratulation Deb and see pictures of her new baby (yes, a baby only eight month old) - Journey to Claire Mei.

Deb and Gerald began the adoption journey and paper work in July 2005, same as we did. Their log in date (LID) was January 16, 2006 (ours was January 27, 2006). They were married six years before he passed in 2008.

Here's a post she wrote four months ago:

I have decided to be thankful today for what I have & for what I had - not for what I've lost. So here is a list of what I'm thankful for.

  • Knowing what it is like to be truly loved by a wonderful man, even if it was for only six short years
  • Family & friends
  • China - for allowing me to fulfill our dream of a family
  • A roof over my head & food on my table
  • My faith & spirituality
  • A job I love

I will always love and miss Gerald, and my future may still be unclear, but it is with the love & support of my family and friends that I will get through this. The tears will come (as they do every day) but I want today to be about good memories - of family & love, not loss.

Love the people you in your life with everything you have (including yourself) because you never know what tomorrow may bring.

Life & love are what you make of them.

Wise words! Congratulations!

Thanks for letting us know. I've been wondering how Deb is doing. Claire is from the same SWI as Dori!
