How Time Has Flown

Alyzabeth was placed in our arms three months ago today. How time has flown...
From a scared, crying, intermittently near-hysterical little one that Aly comforted by lovingly walking hotel hallways to the precious, happy gift we have today. All just three months ago.

I find myself gazing at Alyzabeth, remembering and reliving those first few days together in China. I still marvel at how one so little was able to be so brave. So vulnerable yet so strong. So beautiful...

I find myself happily watching her older brother and sister light up with smiles when they see her. How they reach to pick her up. How they let her know she is family. How I draw comfort in knowing they will always be there for her...

I find myself filled with joy and pride when witnessing Alyzabeth's learning triumphs. Reminding myself that it was only a short while ago she had never heard her new language. Had never tasted the strange new foods. Had never played outside...

I find myself humbled for having been blessed with a wife and a mother like my Aly. Blessed to watch her bath her little one. Read the bedtime stories. Hum softly until Alyzabeth nods off to sleep. Moved to see her gentle tears of love when holding her daughter near...

Alyzabeth was placed in our arms three months ago today. How time has flown.
How time has flown...

Happy 3 months as a family!!!

Alyzabeth is so beautiful. I just love the photos of her on in her Christmas dress. What an incredible journey of blossoming she has taken since that day she was placed into your arms forever!

So hard to believe the time has flown by so quickly. We are currently buried under 10-20 degrees temps with snow and ice on the ground. Would trade Chongqing weather anyday - though it's probably much colder now than when we were there.

Have a great day of celebrating with AA.

Preaching to the choir Buddy. In January our big girl will be thirteen and so far from the frightened little one we first held 12 years ago in March.....and 10 years for our Beth and eight years for our Grace.
No children were ever more loved not parents more blessed. It is bittersweet that we will not have as many years as most but we will take it. We gave them the gift of each other, sisters, who will be together when we have gone.

Happy three months anniversary! Just wait, you will have these moments every now and then. I sometimes catch hubby with that "look" and we remember how tiny she was.
Time does fly, so cherish every moment!
