While DH (Daddy) was out banking yesterday, we enjoyed a cup of hot tea. AA and I will do this often throughout the winter (it does get cold here, in the 30's this morning!).
We drank from my Grammie's china cups (1917 vintage, very British Asian-influence pattern). AA learned very quickly how to hold the cup once it was safe to handle. We did spend time waiting for the tea to cool.
We enjoyed one of Cliffreida's homemade brownies (didn't make the pictures but were yummy!!), cut in very small, dainty bite-sized pieces. Perfect with the cranberry tea!
AA really seemed to enjoy the tea, she wanted to drink every drop! Maybe she had hot tea at the orphanage or saw the adults drink tea?
Of course the cutest picture I wanted to use was blurry, but these will do for our first tea time!

Beautiful pictures! I love how delicately she holds her cup as she sips.
These pictures are so precious....she is so dainty holding that cup of tea...the cup looks bigger than her!!
Cranberry tea sounds wonderful....it is rather cold here too:)

AA has that drinking tea down to a tee...
Have a WONDERFUL Week.
She is sooo beautiful..
Awwww...those pics just melted my heart! I love the way she holds that tea cup so delicately. She is just so precious!
Tea time with mommy is the best!! Wht fun! Hope you have many of these sweet times together for years to come.
How very, very civilized. What nice ladies.
Sorry it has been a while since I have been around... work has been keeping me busy...
I have to point out that the British tea thing - you forgot one small thing (I learnt this from my Nana who was from England) - the little finger isn't pointing out... hehehe
SO sweet =)
It's chilly here today, I might just go make myself a cup now . . .
OH MY!! Wonderful little angel, so danity! Does Mom know AA is using Grammie's tea cups?
xoxo from Maine!

Alyson and Ford ~ Alyzabeth An looks too precious! And this warmed my heart, bringing back so many memories. The Tongginator really, really struggled with drinking thin liquids (anything not laden with tons of rice flakes and/or rice cereal to thicken it). Tea was the first thing we were able to give her successfully... after about four months of therapy. Oh, the triumph we felt!
my kiddo is 6 and he and I often enjoy tea together - my gram is from Ireland and I grew up drinking tea with her, and now kiddo gets to do it too - gram is 84 now, so we savor those times!
So. Cute.
How lovely to see the fifth generation, Alyzabeth An, using the family china. I grew up with it every Sunday. Grammie would have loved her so, and the pictures.
Love Mom
so sweet!! G knew how to use the tea cups from china with the top to push back the tea leaves while we were in china that is. She has long since forgotten that.
Tea parties are the best. Thanks for sharing yours. She is so cute I can hardly stand it. See you guys soon. Marsha
How do you get anything done during the day? I'd just be looking at that sweet little face and let the laundry pile up to the ceiling.
Sounds like a wonderful tea party for two!
This is the cutest thing I have ever seen.she is precious...
What a gracious little lady with her tea.
Looks like quite a great idea to me...chilly here in the midwest!
Lookit that girl!!! Call me weird ( everyone else does) but I SWEAR she was dreaming of this. All those hours, days, months you were imagining she was waking up from dreams of tea parties and playing piano and of her Mom and Dad, I just know it. And now it's all coming true. Let's say thankyou to EVERYTHING. I know ALYZABETH AN is. (Is She gonna be an Aly like her Momma or a Lyzzi???) Hmmmm?! Thankyou guys!!
So sweet! I have to get Briana to try some hot tea!
I had no idea it got that cold in FLORIDA!!!! AA is such an angel with that delicate china. She has some personality!
Awww! What a little lady :)

AA blooms more with each photo. She has the most soulful, beautiful face. I know she brings much joy to your hearts. I just love the drinking tea photos. She is just precious. We cannot wait to go to China for our little Empress !
Hugs,

What adorable photos of your little Sweetie Pie drinking tea!!!!!!! Too cute!!!!

She is just precious!
So cute! Karsynn loves tea, too. She really likes her Grandma's Missouri sweet tea. We really have to watch her when there are cups of it around. Can you say, WIRED??? God knows she doesn't need anymore help in that area.
How precious! I bet she felt SO GROWN UP getting to drink hot tea from the fine China!
My youngest daughter is nuts over hot tea, too. She likes cold tea, as well...unsweetened. Whenever we go to a Chinese restaurant, she begs for hot tea! The other day, we were at a Mexican restaurant and she tried to order hot tea! She didn't understand why it wasn't on the menu!
Ah, she's so sweet, holding that cup in her dainty hands. What a little lady! Think I'll make myself a cup!
By the way, thanks for your comment about the post on my blog, but those pics of all my friends kiddies weren't taken by me! I would have loved to though:))

She looks so dainty holding her tea cup - how very sweet! I still don't trust Kerri with glass or china.
Great photos! Mmmm...tea sounds good right now. It's chilly here. Strike that. It's downright cold for the South.
I'm so impressed that she's doing so well with that tea cup.
She looks like an experienced tea drinker :) She is beautiful!
