First off, lets get the "Alyzabeth Hates The Night Time" update out of the way.
Alyzabeth continues to hate the night time. And she tells us. Very loudly. MOST ALL OF THE NIGHT she lets us know this... How in the world this little body can get up with a smile on her face while we drag ourselves to the coffee pot after another sleepless night is beyond explanation.
Now to the good stuff, this is how baby girl started her morning after a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs and ham, hot oatmeal, applesauce and watermelon with a sippy cup of whole milk as a chaser. We did explain the girl loves to eat?!? :)
Right now she is throwing her ball and racing around playing with Nana.
Oh, this promises to be a busy day...
peace

Looks like she is doing wonderfully except the night time. Like her hair cut suit her face. Beautiful.
My older one Kelly is 4.5 years old still having trouble sleeping. Most nights she woke up crying for mommy. Last night I had 3 hours sleep. Only way I can have a good night sleep is to sleep with her. We don't know their early life experience and what impact on them. Or just a stage. Her doctor said she will grow out of it. Then my younger one doesn't have any trouble sleeping at all.
Welcome home. Enjoy the good weather in Florida. We have a hurrican in Maine this weekend first time in 30 years. Go figure.
Tina
Sounds familiar ......
She is so adorable on her little tricycle!!
The sleeping issues are rough....hopefully now that you are home she will start to get used to her environment and eventually let you all get some much needed rest!
Hang in there....we had major sleeping issues with Sarah...in fact we still do...it is not easy!
Hugs,
Lisa
So sweet!
The night time can be scary, hope it gets better with time- I know there was a lot of great tips on this in "Adoption Parenting" (my favorite book, didn't care as much for the attachment one).
I hope the nights get better, but boy does she look happy in riding her bike!
Welcome home!!
Tracy
LOVE the little Radio Flyer...
She is doing soooo great..
Looks like she is doing well..
Have a Great first week home..
Hugs.
just checking in.........still cute!!!
All three of my children FOUGHT sleep with a vengence (and never slept in the car, either, no matter how LONG the trip)...could go to bed LATE and still naturally awake at SUNRISE... If it is any comfort, my 13 year old has actually, just this year, begun to treasure naps and sleeping in. So, maybe if you can just put off sleeping yourself until she hits the teen years, you will do fine!

So cute! Riding her bike is adorable but seeing her smile melts my heart! Less than 2 weeks and she's already doing so much better! Praising God for answered prayers...and still praying for sleep for all.
Oh, I'm so glad things are good at home. This is looking good on her first day at home. Give her some time she will come around and be able to sleep at night you'll see.
Have a great first week with AA..
She has the most beautiful smaile, so great to see her playing at home.
Welcome back to you all.
Good luck with those nights!
Glad you are home and doing great!! Allie had sleep issues when she first got home and we had no choice (James was away and I was very sick so if we wanted any sleep) to put her in bed with us. Now 2 1/2 years later we are working on her sleeping in her own bed. We have good weeks and bad weeks - we are getting there!!! Good Luck and remember the smile on her face is worth it all!!! She is beautiful!!
What a cutie!
Drat to us grown ups needing some sleep to keep up.
So sorry about the sleep issues. We just got home a month ago and the first few days were rough. I know that you have had trouble (to say the least I'm sure you would say)with her sleeping at night and I'm sure it is now compounded with jetlag. You might want to ask your pediatrician about using melatonin to overcome the jetlag and also relax her before bedtime. WE used it for about two weeks after we got home and it was wonderful. They make one that dissolves on your tongue. Ainsley would just chew it up but it still worked. Good luck. I really feel for you. Oh, I also wanted to let you know that I forwarded a link to the video you posted of your group walking to the medical clinic to our travel group. We were there in August and complained of the heat and humidity but it looks like we had it easy compared to you!

I can totally relate to the dragging yourself to the coffee pot. Our Josie took 6 months to finally get into a sleep-through-the-night cycle. It's still not predictable, but it's better. I'm hopeful it won't take nearly that long for Alzabeth. Her sweet face just warms my heart. Best wishes with all your new transitions.
Ah geez....she is the cutest little sweetums. Wow. That smile is amazing. The sleep issues are really rough for the first few weeks/months. Ruby's been home for 21 months and we're still trying to recover. Ha ha. It WILL all smooth itself out! Take care.

Hope that sleeping gets better.
I am LOL about the "preventative meausures" out of the carseat on the ride home from the airport. Surely it's safer to be out of your carseat over here than in some of the situations in China! The day we came home our friend had installed the carseat in her car but we could not figure out the buckles. (We didn't read up before hand.) We were tired and exhausted and gave up after 10 minutes. Tess is none worse for the wear and I'm sure Alyzabeth is too.
Oh for whatever it is worth, so did Paige...hate the nighttime, that is. Seriously, I was not sure I would live through it but thankfully we did and now she is a wonderful sleeper. My hope is only the same for you...a fabulous payoff.
Too bad we are so far apart...our girls are about the same age!!
