No Stork Sightings

We had what should be our "final" pre-referral visit with our SW yesterday, completing what I think is our third home study update. Feels like our 100th. Everything went fine. Add up all the visits and I think it's time we seriously consider adding Mr. P to our family Christmas list :) Mr. P laughed when he left and said that he knows our address by heart and didn't need to look up directions. He said it with a good heart and we knew what he meant :) We have been blessed to have the same SW throughout our journey. Others have not been so fortunate.

When I began the countdown last month, I estimated we would see our youngest daughter's face (OK, picture) on Friday the 8th. You know, the beginning of the Olympics. The very LUCKY Chinese number. THE #8.

Here we are just a few days away and I'm revising our thinking.
I'm thinking it's starting to look more like Tuesday the 12th.

The "original" Countdown continues. I'm doing my best not to think of it in terms of The Wait.

It's always those last few miles, on any long trip, that seem.to.take.the.longest! I just can't believe that within a week we'll FINALLY SEE HER!!!!

U guys use the Nascar reference, I'll use the end of the triathlon where my legs felt like they were in mud buckets and I was moving in slow motion. Here's to some great rumors about cut-off dates today!

(yes, I survived the triathlon - posted this a.m.)

Hugs,
Kim

This final stretch must feel so agonizing. Hang in there! (Pun alert!!!! Think of the noose! But now imagine me and all of your other blogging buddies holding your legs, and lifting you up so that you survive it all.)

Here's a special wish that your referral comes quicker than you expect. You're almost at the finish line! I can't wait until you can post her cute little pix!

ACK! NO NEWS ON THE AGENCY WEBSITE!!! I'm sure you've been checking it, as well.

I'm going to break down and CALL them tomorrow. I just need a small shred...something...?

If not, we're going to their Olympic's kickoff party Friday night. Maybe I can weasel something out of them at that time...

Cross your fingers!

Our prayers that soon you will see little Alyzabeth An's face! The wait has been so long for you and you have shouldered it with faith and humor. We'll be able to hear you hootin' and hollerin' over here on the westside when you get that call!
