Conversations With Alyzabeth

Dad?

Right here Alyzabeth.

I'm scared.

I get scared sometimes.

You do?

I sure do.

Are you scared now?

Maybe a little but more happy than scared.

I know you and mom are coming.

Is that why you're scared?

Maybe...

That would be scary. It's OK.

I have a new blanket.

The one mom sent you?

It's pink and brown.

Your mom slept with it so you would smell her hair when you went to bed at night.

It smells good.

Just like your mom.

Do you smell good?

Not as good as your mom.

Dad? Can you still hear me?

Always Alyzabeth, I can always hear you.

I'm not as scared now.

That makes me feel happy.

I love you daddy. And my blanket!

We love you baby girl.

Hurry daddy...

We are little one, we are.....

You brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for the lovely sentiment. Alyzabeth is already so loved. I'm glad you were able to send her a gift!

OK....you made me cry! That is beautiful. It is what we all are feeling about our daughters that cannot physically touch them now!

That was beautiful. I shouldn't read your blog at work... hard to explain the eyes after.

I've always loved these conversations, Ford, but now that we can see Alyzabeth's sweet face they are even more poignant. You are all so blessed!

These bring me to tears every single time. Now come on TA's! Alyzabeth needs her Mommy and Daddy!

Wow! Your little one is breath-takingly beautiful!!!

The words of this post brought a lump to my throat. ...it IS a scary experience being adopted...especially for the older little ones. Alyzabeth is blessed to have been given a home with such intuitive, empathetic parents.

I am so happy for you!!!

Wishing I could be there to celebrate & sing this song for them, how I feel about Alyzabeth An!!

Linda Ronstadt
Somewhere Out There lyrics

Somewhere out there
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someones thinking of me
And loving me tonight

Somewhere out there
Someones saying a prayer
That we'll find one another
In that big somewhere out there

And even though I know
How very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing
On the same bright star

And when the night wind
Starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true

And even though I know
How very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing
on the same bright star

And when the night wind
Starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we're sleeping
Underneath the same big sky

Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we'll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true.......

*******All my CONGRATULATIONS, Patience, Strenght, LOVE, as you prepare for your journey to China!!
