The smiling guy above is our stork. You know, the FedEx guy :) delivering our Referral papers which included among other things, our Acceptance letter to sign and return to our agency.
In the event our stork was tempted to leave the Referral package and rush back to his truck, Aly taped this sign to the front door. Aly wanted THE stork picture :) ranking only slightly behind the infamous RED COUCH photo still to come!
We forgot to take a picture of our signing the Acceptance letter but we did grab a couple of pictures that resulted in a flashback to the old Paper Chase days. And the jangled nerves it produces. In this case, using another FedEx stork to overnight deliver the SIGNED Acceptance letter back to our agency.
(In talking with the young lady pictured above and below, she shared that she had been adopted and of course, I had to show her pictures of Alyzabeth :)
As soon as each of the 20 families return their letters, the agency can put in the request for appointments with the US Embassy in Guangzhou.
And as we all know, with confirmed appointments, travel arrangements can be made!

My prayers and happiness are with you. I hope that all this goes even faster for you and all of the othe families waiting. Congrats again.
I have some gifts I made for you. I made picture frames for you daughter. Please give me you email so that I can send them to you. You can leave it on my blog..
Thank you and have a great and safe weekend,
Just still beaming with happiness for you over here!! Love your sign, so using THAT idea!!
Now I'm really green! (We never did get a photo of our Fed Ex guy back in 2005.) Enjoy this exciting time -- make lists, shop, address announcements.
Count down the days until you hug your daughter.
Yep, I'm going to steal the sign idea too. Except my husband works for UPS and we'll have to make special arrangements with our agency so he doesn't receive our referal package from his mortal enemy...;o)
Yikes! Hurry up ..... wait ..... wait ..... wait ..... hurry up again. I remember it. Should have done the Fed Ex pic - he escaped while we were probably.....doing paperwork!
Congrats once again. What a wonderful time this is for y'all.
Love ya,
Don & Be
So So exciting!! I'll have to remember your note idea for when our time comes. ;)
A major step, done. Now comes the packing. Glad you got your pictures that is one of my fears that I will miss the stork.
Our stork was not thrilled to get their pic taken. LOL!
Congrats on this step. I hope everyone returns theirs quickly!
Leaa & Jesse's song was wonderful!
Love the Fed Ex sign Aly made. I'll have to do the same since our guy usually drops and runs as Lucy is barking her little head off.
I can't believe how close you are now to holding your sweet daughter! I get teared up thinking about it!

Congratulations! I just stopped by quickly from Johnny's blog and wanted to say that our daughter was 23 months when we met her. I was nervous about her being older, but everything has turned out better than I could have ever imagined. She is beautiful!
I can't get over how stunningly beautiful she is. Congratulations!!!
