Good News about a Mugging???

personalized greetings

Don't you sometimes want to hear about GOOD news?

The evening news occasionally tries to highlight some good stuff going on in our global world, so when I found this story, I thought WOW! What an amazing man! It is on NPR so I will assume it is the truth.

I found the story on Everyday Giving blog while I was surfing through the "Best Charity Blogs" (yes, please vote for Seventh Diamond while you are there).

Read how this guy was mugged.......

Have you ever read Les Miserables? There is a scene in there where Jean ValJean robs the Bishop of his silverware.

He is caught and brought back to the Bishop's house. The bishop is a true Christian and forgives him.

He tells the police he gave the silver to this man, then he goes back into his house and brings out a set of candlesticks and give them to Jean and says -"here, you forgot these."

And that is what changed Jean ValJeans life. No matter what sad or difficult thing happenes to him he does good and gives without asking in return.

It is such an inspriational passage - and this is such an inspirational story. Could not help but think of the book.

Hey! Thanks for the plug guys~ I wish you luck with your garden. I hope that you can get your melons to grow. I always struggle with them. My tomatoes do so well, but my melons only produce a few small ones. I think our soil is too rocky.

I love that story and I love Story Corp. I used to subscribe to their podcasts but couldn't keep up. Glad you reminded me to revisit. I enjoyed your political post too. Amen!
