Please indulge me.....
I am from Maine,
I never shopped there until I was working and made my own money....
It is a favorite "hometown" store for us Mainers (Mainiacs if you prefer),
My BIL and my younger sister used to work there,
My Mom and Aunt still work there.....
Hey, maybe corny but it's "me"; listen and enjoy (and buy lots of great gifts from L.L. Bean).

Another great Maine shopping site is www.outofthefog.biz.
Maine coffee and made in Maine gifts.

That makes me smile! I forget that LL Bean is a store. Here in the Midwest, we just think of it as a catalog.
I'm thinking of ordering showshoes. It seems like we might get some decent snow this winter (6-8" on the ground here now) and showshoeing would get us outside... and we'd be able to do it next year with Nora in the Sherpani.

I come cross your blog and saw L.L.Bean. We live in Freeport during summer, Orlando winter time. We have two girls adopted from China who love L.L.Bean.
I get the L.L Bean cataloge... have NEVER been in one of their stores... though drove by one when we were in MASS... would LOVE to go in one and want to buy all their clothes and move to Maine so I can wear them...lol
