We attended a dinner social tonight with other families waiting to adopt from China.
It was pure eating, as much Chinese (and Japanese) food (buffet style) as you could put away. There was a huge variety and by the evenings waiting clientele, a very popular restaurant.
The food choices included seafood (every way you can think of shrimp being prepared, we're talking serious Forest Gump here), oysters, chicken, roast duck, sushi, vegetables, soups, spring rolls, and lots more I could not name. Very fresh and very good.
We happened to be seated with the founder of the local chapter and heard many stories and insights about her own daughter's adoption (her daughter is now 11 years old). It was great asking questions and hearing her share her experiences. Thank you DW.
