Children's Home - Taking Care of More Children in More Places in More Ways!

The Florida United Methodist Children's Home (FUMCH) celebrated the first completed building at the Madison Youth Ranch. The dedication was for the major donor, the Trinity United Methodist Church in Gainesville and a few of the FUMCH employees and Board members. It was a glorious day and we loved seeing the progress at our second residential campus take shape. The two group children's homes should be completed by August, so we will be serving children soon! (check out their Facebook page under "FUMCH")

Major land donors and Board members, Billy and Diane Sullivan:
Dr. Charles Lever is the chair of the Board and such a great speaker; we are blessed to have him leading the Home's Board (leaning against porch column, right of center):
One of two group children's cottages under construction (above) and below, the garage end of the new Director's home:
This property (below) is for sale in downtown Madison and may be within FUMCH's reach to have for additional space to serve children (older Presbyterian church and recently renovated as a B&B and wedding destination):
Parsonage bathroom and living room:
Chapel with old organ:
It also has a Fellowship Hall with kitchen. A great property but as every non-profit organization knows, it costs money to keep up such an extensive property. Will be thinking and praying about how this fits in our ministry! If you want to hear news about this organization, sign up for the Herald and the Link for regular news about how our children are cared for.
