A year ago I completed my "quest" for fabric squares for Lizzy's OHGWQ. I intended to cut each square to the 7 1/2 inch square size. My MIL offered to sew it and quilt it but I was determined to do as much as I could. Of course a year later after totally messing up several cuts, I gave the whole thing over to dear MIL this Thanksgiving weekend.
In less than a week she has cut the squares and sewn the top of the quilt AND added the border and prairie points.
I asked for the quilt to be about queen size so I know she has made it at least 10 squares wide and 13 rows. You can't see the entire quilt in these pictures. I am so excited; we need to plan a trip so we can see the quilt in progress (they live about a 5 hours drive away).
Can you believe it?
It is wonderful!!!
Thank you and big hugs to MIL, Nana Joy!

Holy cow.. that looks really nice. I still need to put Maddy's squares together. Perhaps after the holidays I can get busy with that!
Looks amazing!
Its BEAUTIFUL! I did one for our oldest but our younger two so far dont have wishes quilts. Maybe if I had a sewing MIL! :)
The current "wait" is unfathomable for me at this point! We waited 10 mos, 6 mos (!!!!!!!!!!) and Levi was no wait as he was a waiting child. But I can tell you that it will be worth it beyond your wildest dreams. Hang in there.
I think I was in the same swap with you!! I see my square in there!!
My quilt has very similar squares!!
Your's turned out beautiful!!!
WOW!!!!! So totally cool! Will it fit my oversized king size bed?? hint hint I love it!
