Ford was a Daddy-Caddie for his birthday weekend at a two-day tournament (Amelia National). AA did well on the first day with the Foundation Boys, a 48 to be in the lead. On day 2, she scored two strokes higher, but kept the lead for a first place finish. Good job!! She has a nasty cough but it didn't slow her down (cough is from her allergies, her lungs are clear).
We waited and celebrated Ford's birthday on Sunday evening, after the tournament was over. Carolyn drove over after work, and we enjoyed wine, bruschetta and shrimp scampi (with capers) - and in that order! A great weekend!
These photos are from the NFJG Facebook page (since I can't go, we have very few pictures).
Stern look on their faces!
Celebrating (very low key) Ford's 65th!
Have to mention that I tried the new pre-measured Crisco solid shortening and it is great! Way too expensive to buy all the time but what a convenience and no greasy mess!
I made six pie crusts (used two for the apple pie). Since I had the day free (watching the mutt!) and not working, I have time to plan ahead a little better. Pioneer Woman has my favorite crust recipe and directions on freezing extra, so made enough for Thanksgiving too!
Finished apple pie with Maine apples!
Bruschetta with my homemade pesto (my basil plant is huge this year!):

Carolyn came for dinner!
Happy Birthday to Ford!! From Facebook: Happy - Happy Birthday to my Wonderful Husband! He is out doing what he loves - being the "Daddy Caddie" for Alyzabeth today! No big celebration this year even though this one ends with a "5" (instead, we may celebrate my last year in my 50's in Key West with Pam Davis - who knows!). On Thursday, Ford had his first official bike ride with Werner (Catherine Hollaway), just three days shy of his four month anniversary of quadruple-bypass open heart surgery! Love this man!!
Amanda Dietz Happy birthday, Ford!
